Kizz Daniel clears the air on rumours about his alleged lateness to show.
The Nigerian music sensation recently took to social media to address the controversy surrounding his alleged arrest in Ivory Coast by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). In a candid statement, he shared his side of the story, revealing that CAF wasn't dealing with him directly, but rather through an agent.
The issue revolved around a clause in his contract, "no money, no performance." Kizz Daniel claimed he was promised payment upon arrival in Abidjan, but it never materialized. Despite this, he performed for three minutes before his team was allegedly assaulted backstage, prompting him to leave.
Kizz Daniel emphasized that he wasn't arrested or detained by CAF, stating, "I'm not arrested by CAF or detained whatsoever." He also announced his upcoming show in London at the Ovo Arena, Wembley, on November 13, 2023.
This isn't the first time Kizz Daniel has faced controversy. In 2022, he addressed rumors about missing a show in Tanzania, citing an eight-hour delay in Nairobi and miscommunication with promoters. He apologized to fans and rescheduled the show.
Kizz Daniel has also faced personal rumors, including allegations of beating his baby mama and marriage breakup rumors. He denied these claims, sharing loved-up photos with his wife and requesting a refund for expenses if she wanted to break up.
Despite these controversies, Kizz Daniel remains committed to his music career, recently releasing his EP 'TZA' and collaborating with artists like Davido. His music continues to dominate African charts, solidifying his position as one of Afrobeats' most prolific hitmakers.
